Anders Ellerstrand is a recently retired Air Traffic Controller with extensive experience – now offering consultancy services in several fields.
ATM with experience from towers, approach, and en-route, including being an ATC Centre Watch Supervisor from 2005 until 2020 with Flow and Airspace Management. ATM training with experience of classroom teaching, simulator instruction, exercise production, course management and curriculum development. Supplied his ATC Centre with safety assessments as a safety specialist and investigated safety incidents working for ICAO. Ellerstrand is a frequent author of safety related articles in the Eurocontrol Hindsight magazine. He was awarded an MSc with Merit in Human Factors in Aviation after studies with Coventry University, he is accredited as a Human Factors Specialist by the European Association of Aviation Psychology and certified by Eurocontrol as a Human Factors Practitioner.
International experience comes from being a member of two Eurocontrol Task Forces and from several years working for UN/ICAO in projects in Africa. In Sweden, Ellerstrand has supported LFV headquarters as a senior ATM Adviser, worked in a project to investigate a national airspace strategy and managed the enroute contribution to the LFV EU-regulation 373-project.
